Dragon Backbone Lifer Warranty
We warranty each and every handcrafted product we create to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product, and we will repair or replace it with a new Dragon Backbone product, at our option, any product that is defective. Dragon Backbone does not warrant its products against normal wear or misuse. Dragon Backbone products are not intended to be used as hammers, chisels, pry bars or screwdrivers. And although our products are made from REAL animal skins, our products are not meant to be submerged in water or used as flotation devices. If your product was damaged due to misuse, our repair department can analyze the damage and repair it for a reasonable fee. If your product is unable to be repaired, we will extend a one- time courtesy offer, allowing you the option to purchase a new, comparable product (in likeness and cost) for 50% off of our MSRP price listed on the website, excluding any custom knives, wallets, other products considered specialty, rare, custom, or web specials.
How should I send my product?
You're welcome to return your product by any shipping method that is most convenient for you. However, if you choose to send your product through the U.S. Postal Service, we do recommend you attain Delivery Confirmation. This will help provide assurance to you that the product has arrived to our facility.
Instructions for sending your product in for evaluation:
Step #1- Prepare your product for shipment. Be sure the product is clean. Please remove any dirt or debris such as blood or animal matter from any knife returns.
Step #2- Package your item securely in a box or padded envelope. Be sure the item cannot move or shift while inside the package. Please make sure there are no loose blades that will fall out and harm a technician if you are returning a knife. Shipping your item in a regular paper envelope is NOT recommended, as the item could easily fall out and get lost. Dragon Backbone is not responsible for lost or stolen items and any potential damages incurred by the postal service. Please do not use popcorn foam when shipping.

When will I receive my product back?
Turnaround time is 6 - 8 weeks.
Will Dragon Backbone pay to have my product sent to their facility?
Dragon Backbone will not pay for the freight costs to their facility. However, Dragon Backbone will pay for all return expenses to your residence or business for warranty services.
I broke a blade on my Dragon Backbone knife and would like to replace the part myself, can you send me the part I need?
For liability reasons, we do not sell or send individual blades, parts, or anything that would require disassembly of the product, through the mail. Our products are designed to be disassembled by our factory-trained personnel only. Attempting to disassemble your Dragon Backbone product yourself could result in lost components, compromise the knife's functionality and void the warranty.
Dragon Backbone can replace a blade not covered under warranty for $25.00. (Custom blades may be more)
We want you to be happy with your Dragon Backbone purchase. If you purchased from our website or a trade show, and for any reason you are not satisfied in the first 5 days, send your item back to us. This excludes Custom Orders. No returns are accepted for Custom Orders, unless your custom ordered item is defective.
All returns must be in their original condition and packaging. Please include the packing slip or copy of your receipt as a reference to your order. If you are interested in exchanging your product, include a note describing the product number you would like instead.
Returns are processed within 10 - 14 days.

All expedited orders must be placed by 12:00pm (noon) EST Monday - Thursday. Orders placed after 12pm EST will ship the next day. Any orders placed on Friday must be placed by 10am EST. Orders placed after Friday 10am EST won't ship until Monday.
If you place your order for expedited shipping on a weekend or holiday, the order will be processed on the next available business day.
No expedited shipping available for Custom Orders. Custom Orders must be received by November 30th to guarantee Christmas delivery.
